Lions Club Scholarships

The Clarkesville Lions Club will be awarding three (3) $500.00 scholarships to Habersham Central High School graduating seniors in 2022.  The student must attend an accredited college or university.  The recipient must be a student of Habersham Central High School or winner of the Miss Mountain Laurel Pageant.  Please note that immediate family members and descendants of Clarkesville Lions Club members are ineligible to apply for this award.   

The Lions Club Scholarship will be awarded based on the following criteria:  

1.     Service to the community, which may be local, state, national or international  

2.     School activities/leadership  

3.     Scholastic achievement  

4.     Essay/Recommendations  

The following is required:  

1.     Transcript of high school credits  

2.     GPA of 3.0 or above  

The following must be submitted with the completed application form:  

1.     Two (2) letters of recommendation  

2.     Essay on how community service has influenced your development  

The Clarkesville Lions Club Scholarship Committee may choose to interview candidates.   

Interested students should complete the application and submit it to the Habersham Central High School Counselor, by Wednesday, March 31, 2022.  The scholarship recipient will be announced at the Senior Awards.
